In School to meet her daughter Gretchen Wilson

Gretchen Wilson, 34, has a mantel full of awards at her Tennessee home, but something has always been missing - a high school diploma. She had dropped out of school in the ninth grade and just recently passed her General Educational Development (GED) exam. She will celebrate her achievement by receiving her high diploma during a May 15 graduation ceremony.

She was inspired to finish her high school education by her 7-year-old daughter, Grace. She says, "I certainly don't want [Grace] to think you can be this successful without an education."

Wilson's first single, "Redneck Woman," spent five weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart and earned her a 2005 Grammy. Her albums Here for the Party, All Jacked Up, and One of the Boys have all reached to tops of the country charts.
