Paul McCartney Is Finding Divorce Very Painful

Paul McCartneyPaul McCartney has kept mum about his very bitter split with Heather Mill and breaks his silence (a little) in the October 20-26 issue of London's The Radio Times, "Going through a divorce is a very painful thing."

Just last week, Mills reportedly rejected McCartney's $100 million settlement offer because she refused to sign the accompanying gag order that would restrict her from speaking about their failed marriage.

McCartney says that he will continue to hold his head high and persevere until the end of this long, ugly, drawn out drama.

"As Winston Churchill once said, 'If you're going through hell, keep going!'" he said.

"The only solution is to remain dignified. If I don't keep a silence about it, I lose this idea of being dignified."

Although the last few years have been hard, music has helped him through the challenges.

"It's been a difficult time," he said. "Music is the therapy for me. In fact, going through difficulties has only concentrated my desire to make good music."
